Professor Kim Ji-seok of the Asian Association of FUE Hair Transplant Surgeons (FUE ASIA) and Director of Mammoth Hairline Clinic announced at the '2025 Korean Academy of Laser, Dermatology and Trichology' (KALDAT) international conference, held at COEX in Seoul on the 11th, that domestic clinical trials of the stem cell super-exosome based 'CALECIM' showed improvement effects in 8 out of 10 hair loss patients, with some exhibiting dramatic changes.
According to CellResearch, 'CALECIM,' a hair loss and skin regeneration solution based on the super-exosome 'PTT-6,' is a product reported to increase dermal papilla cell proliferation by 24%, reduce scalp inflammation by 30-fold, increase the number of active follicles by 15%, and improve total hair count by 14% with standalone use alone. It has been introduced in approximately 4,500 hospitals and clinics across more than 40 countries worldwide.
Director Kim Ji-seok emphasized, "In the pilot clinical trial using CALECIM, we confirmed significant clinical responses in intractable hair loss patients through a new treatment mechanism different from existing methods." He added, "It demonstrated new possibilities for hair loss treatment in patients unresponsive to existing therapies, and we expect the paradigm of hair loss treatment to shift significantly in the future."
This clinical trial was conducted on 10 hair loss patients (5 males, 5 females, average age 40). The procedure involved a combination of Radio Frequency (RF) treatment and the PTT-6 complex. Each patient received applications of PTT-6 (2.5ml–5ml) following RF laser treatment three times at one-month intervals, and progress was observed for approximately two months after the procedures. As a result, visible improvement responses appeared in 8 patients, and among them, significant changes were confirmed, including an increase of over 10% in hair diameter and follicle density.
In particular, medical staff noted that visible improvements were observed in patients who had previously experienced insufficient results despite undergoing existing regenerative therapies with vast academic evidence, such as PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) using autologous blood or Hair Follicle Stem Cell (HFSC) treatments, when treated with the PTT-6 and RF combination.
Director Kim stated, "While existing treatments mainly focused on stimulating follicle growth by injecting growth factors, PTT-6 and RF treatment are judged to improve hair loss by not only stimulating follicles but also participating in the regeneration of the scalp itself, creating an environment where follicles can grow well on their own."
'PTT-6,' the core ingredient of CALECIM, is a super-exosome based on umbilical cord lining-derived stem cell culture extract developed by the stem cell specialist 'CellResearch.' It is a complex in which over 3,000 types of bioactive ingredients—including various growth factors, anti-inflammatory cytokines, exosomes, peptides, fibroblast-activating proteins, and microRNAs—are concentrated in an optimal ratio. It can simultaneously induce actions such as inducing follicle cell proliferation, suppressing inflammation, producing collagen, improving blood flow around follicles, and extending the anagen (growth) phase.
Director Kim remarked, "Injection therapies like PRP and HFSC were difficult for patients to continue due to pain, and while general microneedling (MTS) combined with exosome treatment is less painful, it had limitations in hair loss improvement effects." He concluded, "The combination therapy of stem cell super-exosome PTT-6 and RF significantly reduces pain while offering expectable hair loss improvement effects, making it a 'game changer' that will alter the paradigm of hair loss treatment in the medical field."

아시아 비절개 모발이식학회(FUE ASIA) 김지석 교수(맘모스헤어라인의원 원장)가 지난 11일 서울 코엑스에서 열린 '2025 대한레이저피부모발학회'(KALDAT, 대피모) 국제학회에서 줄기세포 슈퍼엑소좀 기반 '칼레심'(CALECIM) 국내 임상 결과, 탈모 환자 10명 중 8명에게 개선 효과가 있었고, 그 중 일부는 극적인 변화를 보였다고 발표했다.
셀리서치에 따르면 슈퍼엑소좀 'PTT-6' 기반 탈모·피부재생 솔루션인 ‘칼레심’은 단독 사용 만으로도 모낭유두세포 증식 24% 증가했고 , 두피 염증 30배 감소, 활성화된 모낭 수 15% 증가, 총 모발수 14% 향상 등으로 보고된 제품으로 전세계 40개국 이상 4,500여 병원 및 클리닉에 도입됐다.
김지석 원장은 "칼레심을 사용한 시범 임상에서 기존 치료 방식과는 다른 새로운 치료 기전으로 난치성 탈모 환자에게서 유의미한 임상적 반응을 확인했다"며 "기존 탈모 치료에 반응이 없는 환자에게서 새로운 탈모 치료 가능성을 보여줬으며, 앞으로 탈모 치료 패러다임이 확 바뀔 것으로 기대된다"고 강조했다.
이번 임상은 10명의 탈모 환자(남성 5명, 여성 5명, 평균 연령 40세)를 대상으로 진행됐으며, 시술에는 고주파(RF) 시술과 PTT-6 복합체를 병용한 방식이 적용됐다. 각 환자에게 한 달 간격으로 총 3회, 고주파 레이저술 후 PTT-6(2.5ml-5ml)를 도포했고, 시술 후 약 2개월 간 경과를 관찰했다. 그 결과 환자 8명에게서 육안으로도 확인 가능한 개선 반응이 나타났고, 이 중 일부는 머리카락의 직경, 모낭 밀도가 10% 이상 증가하는 유의미한 변화가 확인됐다.
특히 본인 혈액을 이용한 PRP 치료법이나 모낭 내 줄기세포(HFSC) 등 학술적 근거가 방대한 기존 재생 치료법을 적용했음에도 탈모 개선 효과가 부족했던 환자를 대상으로 PTT-6와 고주파 병용 시술을 진행한 결과, 육안적으로 개선된 변화가 관찰된 점이 의료진들 주목을 끌었다.
김 원장은 "기존 치료는 주로 성장인자를 투입하는 형태로, 모낭 성장을 자극하는데 집중했었다면, PTT-6와 고주파 치료는 모낭 자극 뿐 아니라, 두피 자체 재생에 관여하면서, 모낭이 스스로 잘 자랄 수 있는 환경을 만들어줘 탈모를 개선한다고 판단된다"고 말했다.
칼레심 핵심 성분인 'PTT-6'는 줄기세포 전문기업 '셀리서치'가 개발한 제대막 유래 줄기세포 배양추출물 기반 슈퍼엑소좀이다. 다양한 성장인자와 항염 사이토카인, 엑소좀, 펩타이드, 섬유아세포 활성 단백질, 마이크로 RNA 등 3,000여종의 생리활성 성분이 최적의 비율로 농축된 복합체로, 모낭세포 증식 유도, 염증 억제, 콜라겐 생성, 모낭 주변 혈류 개선, 아나겐기(모발 성장기) 연장 등의 작용을 동시에 유도할 수 있다.
